As reported by Gazette.Net, one person died, and two others were injured in a one-car crash in Olney. First responders including Fourth District police officers were called to the 16600 block of Batchellors Forest Road after being notified of a single-vehicle crash. According to the police report, initial investigation at the scene revealed that the car, a black 2005 Ford Focus, had for some unknown reason left the highway and had hit a tree.
A male passenger riding in the back seat of the vehicle died at the scene from injuries suffered . He lived in the Olney/Aspen Hill area at the 3300 block of Norbeck.
The driver was a 21-year-old man from Brookeville. The passenger in the front seat was a 21-year-old man from Olney. Both driver and passenger were taken to a local hospital where they received treatment for injuries not considered to be life endangering.
