Attorney at Law – Medical Malpractice

Plaintiffs’ Personal Injury and Medical Malpractice firm seeks an Associate Attorney to help prosecute medical malpractice, personal injury, and Worker’s Compensation claims. 

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have prior experience with medical malpractice litigation; interested candidates without prior medical malpractice experience who are experienced with other areas of personal injury law are encouraged to apply. This role will include assisting with the intake of medical malpractice and personal injury matters, screening cases for merit by review of medical records and discussions with potential clients and other attorneys, drafting pleadings, handling district court personal injury matters, representing clients in Worker’s Compensation hearings, and litigating personal injury cases from intake to resolution. The position will offer circuit court experience, based on the applicant’s experience and knowledge.

Qualifications
  • Prior courtroom experience is ideal; Maryland bar is required, other bar memberships are a plus.  

Compensation

  • $105,000 – $115,000 yearly

Responsibilities
  • The person would also assist with developing medical chronologies and synthesizing medical records for use in litigation and pre-suit negotiations. 
  • Ideal candidate will have prior experience working as a Registered Nurse in a hospital or assisted-living setting, familiarity with electronic medical records, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills; prior work experience in a law firm is excellent, but not required. 
  • The person will receive training on the specifics of the role and work directly with attorneys and paralegals.  
Qualifications
  • Must have superb communication skills.
  • Must have a valid RN license.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Bilingual is a plus.
Compensation
